The Saint Joseph Neighborhood boundaries are generally regarded as Brandeis Avenue to the north, I-65 to the west, South Shelby Street to the east, and the railroad tracks to the south.

The Saint Joseph’s Area Association was formed in 1979 and is committed to serving the Saint Joseph community. The organization holds regular meetings, organizes events, and leads community projects. Become a part of our community today!

The Saint Joseph Neighborhood is named for the famous Saint Joseph Infirmary that once stood on Eastern Parkway.

Over the years, we have researched a lot about our neighborhood. Check out some historical photos of our area dating back to 1913. Special thanks to the U of L Archives for providing such an amazing resource!
